Sunday brunch at NOLA restaurant, contemporary cajun cuisine in Paris.
Sunday brunch at NOLA restaurant on quai de Jemmapes (Canal Saint-Martin) in Paris is perfect. The combination of a wonderful interior and ambience (piano on Sundays during brunch), with friendly, efficient and attentive staff makes for an ideal canal-side escape.
NOLA’s philosophy, according to the company ‘is a blend of Cajun spirit and inspiration; New York sophistication and creativity; and French craftsmanship and finesse, to create a unique venue perfectly located on the Canal Saint-Martin’.
The menu is casual (think burgers and traditional cajun favourites); and the quality of the food is very good (pulled pork was a little too salty but tasty): fresh, delicious and plentiful, thanks to chef Rachel Moeller and her team.
Winelovers are taken care of too! Why not enjoy a glass of Gnarly Head, Old Vine Zinfandel 2014 – a very smooth, velour, rich and deeply satisfying drop! And for dessert, you ought to try their cheesecake garnished with succulent fresh fruit, pecan and pistachio nuts.
